Maybe you see the green hues that represent the growing of the tobacco plant. Or maybe it’s one of the brown tones within the leaf that represent the crafting of the cigar and its place inside the humidor. Or perhaps your eyes go directly to the grays at the end of the leaf, colors that represent the ashes of time well spent. I For those who represent that gray portion of the logo—the consumers and connoisseurs—2020 will be the year for you. It’s the year CigarCon will debut at PCA’s international trade show—a day with the goal of bringing together the entirety of the industry under one roof to celebrate, educate and possibly enjoy one or two great smokes. There are many details to come over the next year, but we sat down with Scott Pearce, executive director of PCA, and Scott Regina, board member and chair of the trade show committee, to get their insights on the reasons and goals behind PCA’s CigarCon.
