Fall 2020 PCA Magazine
PREMIUMCIGARS.ORG AUTUMN 2020 | PCA The Magazine 31 T H E B L E N D throughout. No touch-ups were needed from start to finish; and the cigar stayed lit even when my attention wandered. Transitions were not radical, but the process of caramelization kept things interesting. I received a steady flow of rich, semi-sweet Nicaraguan flavor for the entire experience, which mellowed in the second half, with a nice, nutty oiliness giving body to hints of bergamot orange. Normally I anticipate an hour’s smoke from a 5 x 50, but the 107 Nicaragua robusto kept going for 80 minutes before the nub grew too toasty to handle. This is a very fine, well-blended, well-executed, perfectly well-behaved $8 smoke. This cigar is perhaps especially fitting for the more experienced smoker who seeks a fuller-bodied Nicaraguan flavor profile—great for late-day and after-dinner relaxation. Merchants who wish to add the 107 Nicaragua to their humidor should contact La Aurora’s U.S. distributor Miami Cigar & Company at 800.643.7209 or visit miamicigar.com .
