After all, “The Mailman” played 18 seasons with the Utah Jazz, from 1985 to 2003. But Malone’s name is quickly finding a new home in the cigar industry as well. Last June, Malone and his daughter Kadee opened their own cigar lounge in Ruston, Louisiana—Legends 32 Cigar and Vape— and he also debuted his very own cigar line: Barrel Aged by Karl Malone. The tobacco in this cigar, which is distributed by La Aurora Cigar Company, is aged for six months in rum barrels, aged six years using traditional methods and finally wrapped up with another six months in the barrels. We recently sat down with Karl and Kadee at the 2019 PCA show to pick their brains on what it’s like to open a lounge, what they love about cigars and the industry and the future of their Legends line.
