Offering a digital signage and platform service, ETG provides premium cigar retailers a display that broadcasts quality tobacco- related, curated content for advertising, information, entertainment and merchandising to targeted audiences, e.g., premium cigar and pipe customers. And the best part for every retailer’s bottom line: ETG offers this service at zero cost because they make their revenue from advertising. ETG is an Affinity Program partner with PCA and we connected with Ivan to hear some more about what ETG can offer PCA retail members. How does the program work? The process is very simple: The retailer chooses the screen size that best suits his establishment. ETG orders and ships the equipment and arranges with the retailer for professional TV mounting and installation services on site. The system connects to the shop's Wi-Fi network and starts broadcasting content as soon as it is turned on (plug-and-play). We then activate the content management system, which is extremely easy to use and allows tobacconists to efficiently manage their own content. So, for the retailer, as part of the package, they will be able to use 10 slots of 10 seconds each to advertise upcoming shop events, new arrivals, specials, etc. The retailer can upload whatever he wants. The question: How to create a win-win platform that fosters a mutually beneficial network of partners among premium cigar retailers, their clients and cigar brands. Before the end of the year, Ivan founded ETG in Dallas and soon thereafter his business partner, Guillaume Vogt, joined the company.
