Why did you run for election to the board and what do you hope to accomplish during your tenure? First, I’m grateful for being elected to the board. Being elected means playing the role of liaison between membership and leadership. I feel fortunate to be able to bring a very unique perspective to the PCA board, having spent 23 years in the premium cigar industry in retail, wholesale and manufacturing, for family businesses and large corporations. Today, as an owner of a small family business in the premium cigar industry, Ferio Tego, I am fully invested in our great industry and its long bright future ahead. The PCA is the most important trade association for the premium cigar industry, working 52 weeks per year advocating for it and its members. But the perception is often that PCA is a week-long event. I hope we can clarify that, and demonstrate through better communication the great work this association does day in and day out.
