I’m thinking especially of the pipe-curious—people who keep dancing around the idea of finally trying a pipe in a serious way, but keep letting themselves be put off. Undeniably, there is a learning curve with pipes, but so there is with cigars, too. True, there is more involved with pipe smoking than just lighting up and forgetting what you’re doing. You can smoke for 10 minutes, set your pipe down, and come back to it an hour or a day or a week later and pick right up where you left off.
